So uploading pictures is way more complicated then before, I'll figure it out eventually. Anyway, Our 5 year anniversary was the 2nd of March. I didn't get any pictures this time, so I thought I'd share a picture of us from 5 years ago. That was one of the best day our lives.
Since our anniversary was in the middle of the week we decided to plan a stay-cation for the weekend. My awesome friend Karen offered to watch Naomi on Wednesday (the actual day), so I surprised Cory with dinner at Texas Roadhouse. He was very surprised. And dinner was delicious (of course I didn't bring the camera). Thanks Karen!
Then on Friday we dropped Naomi off at her cousins' house for a sleepover. And this was the start of our celebrations. First, Cory and I went to Olive Garden. (Side note-they have this new appetizer called Lasagna Fritta, amazing) Then we came home and just hung out, you know talk and cuddle (something we don't get to do very often). On Saturday morning we woke up and hiked the Peralta Trail in Gold Canyon. Then we went to lunch at Steve's Crazy Subs and finally we went and saw Unknown (awesome movie). Then we picked up Naomi. She had so much fun with her Aunt Sondra, cousins, and Uncle Eric that she hardly noticed us when we picked her up. Even though it made me a little sad, I was more happy knowing that she was loved and well cared for.
It was an awesome anniversary. I can't believe it's been 5 years. I love Cory so much, I can't wait to see what the next 5 years bring.
So a recap of our Valentine's Day. First off Naomi and I were pretty sick so it was very low key. Also with our anniversary so close we decided to do most of our celebrating then.
First Naomi woke up and got a present from us. I made her a couple flower headbands (only one is pictured and I know the picture is a little blurry but that was the best one I could get). Then we made Daddy a Valentine's Day card, Naomi made sure we didn't forget the glitter. And for lunch we ate heart-shaped sandwiches. When daddy got home from work we went and got some Little Caesar's Pizza. Then we had an FHE on love. It was a pretty good day considering how we felt.
On Wednesday (after V-day) Naomi's preschool had a Valentine's Day party at the park. Sorry no pictures, but the kids had a lot of fun. They played, passed out their Valentine's and ate cupcakes.
