I'm a Big Kid Now

Naomi is growing up so fast. This week she has shown me that she is no longer a baby; she is now potty trained. I was so afraid to potty train her because of how the last time we tried went, but I finally decided no more diapers.

We started Tuesday and the morning had gone as I expected. She recognized her need to go but was always too late. But at 1:30 pm that all changed. We were coloring on her whiteboard when all of a sudden she ran out of the room. I followed after her to find that she sat down and went on her potty. It was an amazing feeling to see her finally make the connection. Now no one's perfect and she's still learning, but since then she has only had a few accidents. She's not afraid of any potty. She's gone at a friend's house and even gone in a restaurant.

I'm so proud of her.

Here are some pictures of the fun we've had while potty training.

She's done a lot of reading,

she's played with lots of stickers,

she's potty trained her baby,

she's watched 101 Dalmations a million times,

and has made lots of funny faces at me, especially when we wash her hands.

Mommy wow!! (I just had to say that to go along with your title)

How exciting! What are you going to do with all that money you'll save on not buying diapers??!

I love that she's potty training her baby...hopefully that goes well.
